Thoughts from the PEN

Thinking about the word pen, several meanings come to mind…
a) A writing instrument, referred to as ‘mightier’ than the sword
b) An open concept space in an office
c) Slang term for penitentiary or jail
d) Where farm animals (especially pigs) are housed
e) The shortened term for bullpen
*(where pitchers warm up before a baseball game)
As a catcher for over 30 years; I have seen a lot of ‘pens’ in a lot of ball parks.
A catcher has many responsibilities, including observing a pitcher pre-game and using visual and instinctual information to create and execute a game plan. Ask any catcher who has played above little league, and the time before the game is imperative to get in sync with a pitcher.
As a Life & Wellness coach, I use the same observation, instinct, foresight, curiosity and knowledge to help others make decisions, actions, reactions, and game plan each day, week, month, and year so they can live a better life.
I am fortunate, grateful and thankful that I have the chance to help others and make a positive impact on their lives.
Just as I made an impact on my teammates, pitchers, games and players that I coached, I hope that I can be there for you on your journey.
